WEDDING BELLS AND SCALLOP SHELLS<\/strong><\/h1>\nDanny Campbell, Creative Director at home technology consultancy Infracore, is well accustomed to project managing ambitious, high pressure projects, but his own wedding offered opportunity and jeopardy in equal measures. His own big day was the perfect stage to flex his creative muscle, but when your client is your future wife and the venue you are about to \u2018transform’ is owned by your Mum and Dad, well that does tend to add a little pressure. The design process was long and arduous – planning started a year in advance, with colleagues and industry contacts consulted and cajoled, and favours called-in from near and far.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The house was once owned by Alexander Selkirk, Scottish privateer, Royal Navy officer and castaway – considered to be the inspiration for Daniel Defoe\u2019s classic novel Robinson Crusoe. Danny\u2019s vision included 3000 scallop shells and 500m of scaffolding, not to mention a myriad collection of electronics \u2013 amplifiers, PA equipment and loudspeakers, including six pre-production examples of our new DROPLET pendant speaker taking centre stage in the main congregating area \u2013 the \u2018Lobster Pot\u2019. The end result was a special setting for a very special day, unique and authentic in every way, we\u2019re honoured to have played a very small part and wish the happy couple much happiness in the years the come.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
